LOVING MEMORY:

Thelma Laura Atwood Mabe:  Born in Alleghany County January 14, 1914 to Frank Atwood and Minnie Sanders Atwood. She departed this life April 5th 2011.   She grew up in Alleghany County, North Carolina In May 1932 she married Edgar James Mabe.

A true women of God..She spent her whole life caring for others and helping others.  You never went to her house that you was not welcome.

She was there to help very one.  Her faith in God was strong and a very strong willed women. If she didn’t have something good to say about someone then she said nothing.  She loved her family very much and was proud of each of her kids, grand kids & great grand kids.  This was written by one of her grandsons this describes her exactly as she was:

A lover of God, Family and Life.

A Mother, Grand Mother, Great grand mother and Great Great Grand mother, and wife.

A reader of scripture, a musician, a poet, a gardner, a dairy farmer, a chef, a cook, a comedian, a collector,a seamstress, taylor, and caregiver and all this with grace and style
